ReStich is a location-based, community-driven app for buying and selling second-hand fashion.

The project began with a personal insight - all three of us wanted to exchange clothes with each other, but found that locating suitable items in WhatsApp and Facebook second-hand groups was nearly impossible. After conducting interviews with buyers and sellers in the Jerusalem community, we identified four main pain points: purchasing accessibility issues (relying on shipping without try-on options), lack of effective filters for second-hand clothing in the Israeli market, trust issues in the buying process (fear of visiting strangers' homes), and lack of awareness regarding the ecological contribution of such purchases.

The solution we developed features location-based clothing search (enabling visits to sellers and trying on clothes like in a mall), unique filters for second-hand clothing (item condition, brand affiliation, and materials), personal profiles with rating systems to build community trust, and detailed item pages with free-text descriptions, precise sizing, and garment condition information. The app offers an intuitive browsing experience with Home and Explore pages that preserve the feeling of physical shopping while enhancing item discovery.RetryClaude can make mistakes.
