Wizer is an app designed to rearrange opinions and viewpoints from social media.
Our journey began with a focus on education. Through interviews, research, and numerous wireframes, we explored innovative solutions. We pinpointed our main goal: to develop learning features tailored to our most frequented space—social networks. We aimed to address three key challenges: the limited exposure to diverse perspectives (being surrounded by like-minded voices both online and offline), the difficulty of true listening (often engaging in debates to defend rather than to understand), and the shallow nature of social media feeds (the habitual scrolling that rarely encourages deep engagement with complex ideas).
Our solution reorganizes social media content on a map, making diverse opinions more accessible and helping users explore different perspectives with ease. The app allows users to select a topic and receive various opinions organized spatially, rather than sorted by popularity. Key features include the ability to focus on a specific perspective and its underlying principles, tools for classification and summarization, a POV button for switching between varied viewpoints, and writing tools for clarifying thoughts and opinions. We also created a personal space for users to track their learning journey, providing a sense of accomplishment throughout this process.
This team project became a valuable learning experience, where we enjoyed collaborating and discovered how to transform personal stories into creative design insights. The process was both enjoyable and educational, turning human experiences into innovative ideas.
